As a young professional, Steven has had a taste of many different industries. While completing a bachelors degree in Marketing and Business Management at an Australian University, he worked in various roles as a waiter and barman around South Africa. He then spread his wings and worked in London as a restaurant manager, travelled the Mediterranean on super yachts preparing food as a professional chef and then worked in the corporate arena for 5 years as an international steel and commodities trader. Steven even worked in the high pressure environment of event coordination... but he's mentioned that from a very young age, after reading Robert Kiyosaki's book - Rich Dad Poor Dad, he has had a fascination with investing in property and leveraging its potential in growing ones wealth. After 4 years of university, 5 years of traveling and then another 6 years of corporate industry, he still found himself in a safe, well-paid but uninspiring office-bound position, he felt the need to move to an industry that re-ignited his passion. In 2011 he took the plunge into real estate to learn everything about buying, selling and investing in property. He then moved Canada and bought shares in a start-up real estate brokerage and took up the position of general manager. After long-term visa applications not working out, Steven decided to head home to South Africa to become a realtor in his home city to take advantage his network and the opportunities there.
